This one is interesting, so frame it like this.

Rebels in Pakistan wanting to create a breakaway region, ironically directly in the the belt and road path - Pakistan can't deal with them as it would be attacked under International law or framed as a genocide, even though they've received funding from the CIA reportedly.

Rebels in Iran wanting to create a breakaway region, ironically directly in the the belt and road path - Iran can't deal with them as it would be attacked under International law or framed as a genocide, even though they've received funding from the CIA reportedly.

So how do you frame it?

Iran attacks Pakistan Rebels, Pakistan attacks Iran Rebels, China then comes in and makes 'peace' so it all looks like it was a potential escalation, belt and road continues, rebels dead, US wasted (via CIA) funds and lost the ability to control a trade route (restrict it).

You can fool some people sometimes, but you can't fool all the people all the time. The empire of lies is going down.

When I heard about this attack and the carefully choreographed response I rolled my eyes. They are both reading the same hymn sheet 😉.

Iran-Pakistan Border Trade: Flourishing Against the Odds

---- quote start

Both the Pakistani and the Iranian governments have been concerned over the security situation along the border given its impact on bilateral trade, which is worth around $1.5 billion per annum. In January, the two sides signed 39 MOUs, which, if implemented could increase trade value to around $5 billion per year.
