Hi all, this form is great, filled with great information.

I've been looking into immigrating to Cyprus as a non-EU national (Canadian).
I have 2 years before I actually am able to move but 2 law firms in Cyprus replied saying processing time has changed, due to a few factors, and is now 3-4 years.
Is anyone able to confirm this?

Also, is there better way to obtain permanent status for a non-national besides the Regulation 6(2) which required a $300,000+VAT house route?

Thank you.

Its true that the processing times can be long in Cyprus.
You could as well start by obtaining a digital nomad visa for 1 year which is the quickest option.
Then you can get a residence permit as self-employed.

it seems like I need permanent residency status to qualify To be a tax resident based on the Cyprus- Canada double taxation Convention.
Thank for the idea though.
