Hey guys

I'm a Cyprus non dom resident with Israeli and Portugal citizenships.
Of course, I came from another country in which I sold a property and I have about $1m.
I'm looking for good bank to put the money in fixed deposit.
Right now, I have an application in City bank Hong Kong.
Looking for another option (maybe in EU), ofc must be strong bank in reputable place.
I don't have a problem to visit the bank in person.
Money is total legit (I have documentation), no need for anonymity.
I had an application with UOB bank in Singapore and they just stopped responding me, I suspect it's because my name is in google (on 2nd page) and related to financial scam (it's few years old and no one sued me anyway).

Appreciate your help.

This is probably going to limit your choices all over the world. Banks don't necessarily use Google, but they have systems like Refinitiv that automatically search and continue to monitor applicants. If adverse media is found, especially if it's related to financial crimes, most banks onboarding policies and procedures are to reject the applicant.

You may be in a position where you need a lawyer or some other fiduciary or trustee to act as an introducer to help make a good case for you with a bank.
