totally agree. There is no reason for it if you don't like Switzerland and their laws, stay away and find somewhere else.

This I know has also happened in the Netherlands. In a way it makes sense that there is a minimum speed for motorways. If everyone is going 100 and 1 person is going 50 then its waiting for an accident to happen.
Yes, but in Switzerland, the law is pretty clear how fast you must able to drive in order to use the highway. It is 80 km/h in general and 100 km/h on the left lane if there are three or more lanes in the same direction.

I personally would say that fines for too slow are rare in Switzerland, apart from the highway cases.
There has once even been a protest of the Lega dei Ticinesi leading to a 30 km traffic jam and a prison sentence:

Fines for obstructing the traffic flow are much more common in the US where the laws are per state and most often not very clear.
