Hey guys,

Looking for some advice on company structure and someone who can advise me.

If a company in Dubai was to own a US LLC company that is selling goods to the UK, (for example a widget for £35),

But the goods are drop shipped from a company within the UK to UK customers, (widget cost price is £5)

Do I need to charge ( and submit ) UK Vat on the sale from the American company?

You definitely have to pay VAT and file quarterly your VAT filings.

Any way of avoiding it will sooner or later be detected by HMRC.

If you are a citizen and resident from a country that is far from UK and not Western and you don't plan to go to UK or EU in the next 10 years you can try to take the risk and run away from it.

Most ecommerce channels already withold the VAT if you sell on them.

The goods you purchase are also located in UK and shipped to UK, meaning you have to pay VAT (which you can offset)
