Hi marble123. Why did the bank charge the extra commission for due diligence, was it because the dividends were from a non-Cyprus company? and which bank was that - Bank of Cyprus or Hellenic?

worst that can happen? acc frozen for some time while you talk to the monkeys, depends heavily on amount.
Wise is good for up to $250k maybe, over that id go with a real bank.

I believe so.. this is with Hellenic

Why not open a new bank account outside of Spain and Cyprus?

In Cyprus is it possible to open an account at Bunq, N26 or Swissquote for example?
