From a practical point of view, it's more expensive to depose the king than to keep him. Hopefully it will be done before they swap all regal paraphernalia with the new initials CIIIR

thanks for reminding this thread... it was fun to walk through the post - I'm a little bit surprised how many anti-royalists are here - I must say that pragmatically speaking I find monarchy much less dangerous to human freedom and property rights compared to democracy
