They should be total return indexes

But here is the performance from the factsheet 8,64% for the HDY compared to 7.74 World

@Zaiga are there any decent alternatives to the fund specified in the title?

Maybe the Vanguard FTSE All-World High Dividend Yield UCITS ETF? It even has an smaller expense ratio than the MSCI one. However there are also differences as to which stocks it invests in.
