At least China arrests its scammers, if he was in Canada, he could fake his death in India like Gerry Colten and keep the stolen money.
 
There is a reason wealth Chinese' highest priorities are: 1. getting foreign passport 2. smuggling their money and kids out of China.
Same for Russia.

Lots of money to be made but you may be murdered or "disappeared" at any second if your political patron gets out of favor, or arrested, or disappeared himself.

Similar to what happened to Desmond Shum's wife. At least he was smart enough to escape to the West with a few hundred million $...

In China anybody that gets too wealth is suddenly a "criminal" that needs to be punished. Is Jack Ma also a scammer? Give me a break.

People here love worshiping China from the West, but would rather chop off their left testicle than having to live or bank in the hellish techno-dictatorship AKA China.

This kind of story happens in
every country, not specifically in Russia and China. You just don't know because no newspaper mentions them
 
It's more rare in Europe to hear about such stories and I believe it for obvious reasons happens more in countries like Russia & China.
