Hello, Friends!

Let us discuss EU countries with a friendly legal environment for establishing a virtual currency exchange. Particularly, centralized exchanges of cryptocurrencies against fiat. I read that relevant legislation has been enacted in Spain recently. Portugal in its turn offers a zero taxation for such service providers, as long as cryptocurrency is not treated as a financial asset there, but this may change. I would not look at countries like Estonia and Latvia, because there are always problems with banking.

Please share your experience.

Portugal has zero taxation for individuals, not companies. As a company you're expected to pay a lot more than 20%.

I also read that in Hungary the income tax rate for such companies is only 15% - quite attractive if it is true. I also wonder about Czech Republic and Croatia where this activity seems to be regulated...

Just to support the thread: Spain has started to issue crypto licences. Binance and some others have already obtained ones.

Cyprus is also becoming a crypto hub. Binance, FTX, Kraken are some of the exchanges that are in the process of registering in Cyprus

They say that in Hungary the Central Bank has not issued any crypto licences yet. They support blockchain technology though.
