Permit L This permit is for short-term residents who reside in Switzerland for less than a year.
Permit B This permit is for expats who wish to reside in Switzerland for longer than one year.

No, I do not try.

As usual Swiss Bureaucracy. Too many things You have to do.
Even on canton level !!!
Better to visit Switzerland as Tourist .

There are many more option available for your need rather than Swiss.

I've heard that the ease of naturalization depends heavily on the canton. Also you should not switch cantons during naturalization. Locals may have power to veto naturalization(?). A vegan was denied naturalization for being too damn annoying even though she had been in Switzerland all her life.

Switzerland has a 5 year reduced naturalization requirement for EU citizens (may exclude new EU nations, double-check it)
Residence counts as double for under 18 residents.
