Crypto Profit to Company to invest in property

Hi there,

Just looking for some advice.

I have some crypto profit, that I would like to bring into a company to then buy an investment property, either in the USA or Europe.

What I was thinking so far was to open up a Panama company to deposit the money into a company bank account to then buy a property with.

I'm a UK citizen and resident.

Curious to know if that seems like a good option or if there are other options i should explore.
I have also looked into Malta but it's risky as I wouldn't be having anything actually operating in Malta.

Your options are limited.
Option A
Lend the crypto to the offshore entity. The company will have to pay it back but if there is no defined time it can be open ended.

Option B
Cash out and pay the tax which will definitely be 40% plus.

Option C
Move out of the country for a year then cash out and seed the company with that.

Option D
Get a loan against the crypto and seed the company with that.
 
Panama would be rather complicated and bureaucratic, but indeed the most private option. Not a good idea with EU real estate or anything.

For US real estate just register a Wyoming LLC or something along those lines. For Europe, perhaps best is a local company in the country you are being the real estate in, which in turn is owned by a Maltese/Cyprus company

The four options mentioned, a&b look realistic. I apologise for getting in this conversation, but I am also looking for a solution to buy estate, however, with cash.

a) why would lending crypto is better than simply selling it on exchange and getting out your fiat?
b) I guess when you make a purchase of real estate, it's the bank who will raise the question where did you get the funds from. Lending, if I got your point right, takes of unwanted complications providing source of funds for crypto? Or you still need to go thru AML even when getting a loan against btc that you just bought with cash?
c) which platform in EU can provide a loan with full paperwork that will make my bank happy (credit line agreement - I guess that's it?)
d) do you think any kind of loan agreement to justify incoming payments is a good option? Perhaps “project financing agreement” will look more adequate for the banks compliance?

I would be extremely happy to know that loan agreements between legal entities is still a good legend to explain to bank where the money comes from.

With respect to Europe, Cyprus would be a good option. You inject the crypto into the company either through a capital injection or as a loan and then you can purchase property through the company. I will PM you for more details

Basic AML if it is with a regulated entity or with a private lender.

if your bank are not crypto friendly, forget it.

They say they are, they might accept some small amounts coming from crypto ezchanges but nothing else. If your activities are substantially related to crypto they will reject you. but if your plan is to purchase property this can be implemented directly with the seller directly with crypto. Happy to pm you about this

I am currently searching for a property in Spain, even though I am a big big fan of Cyprus too 😉
In Spain, I didn't come across any developers that accept crypto as form of payment for new apartments or houses, and purchase can be made only via local Spain banks. At least that's what I know so far, and still researching.
 
Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm sure ill be back with some more questions shortly. But for now ill explore the Cyprus and a Wyoming LLC options.

US LLC is just one of the many structure that you could use to optimize your taxes. It is not a panacea to everything as it is highly dependent on your nationality, residency, nature of business, daily operations etc.
