I disagree only with your last sentence. China is notoriously underhanded and mercenary when dealing with other nations. And yes, China will eventually make a move on Siberia, when the time is right. By contrast, the U.S. rebuilt much of Europe after WWII. Not all nations are the same.
Unfortunately, the U.S. is in a long period of moral decay, which began in earnest when the teaching of moral standards was removed from the public schools in the 1960's. But China is a completely alien culture that is quite devious and deceptive.

Germany is the fourth largest economy in the world. By contrast, Russia has an economy that is smaller than the State of Texas (one of the fifty American States).
So, if Germany is "a nobody," then Russia is a rotting corpse being pissed upon, while awaiting a cheap burial in a dung heap.
