N26 is a bank and banks are required to collect Tax ID Number (TIN). If you don't provide a TIN, they will probably keep asking and eventually close the account.

Eventually, whether due to a time limit, regulatory audit, or you reaching some threshold, it will come down to providing TIN or losing the account.
Lack of TIN doesn't prevent reporting under CRS. They can still try to report based on your name, date of birth, and address alone.

When I have opened N26 Bank account few years ago, it was for a supported country.
Now I am living in a country they don't support.
I didn't update the TIN number to avoid sending alert and risking a closure of my account.
Other banks ask every year to update this information. N26 seems to not do or I forgot and just confirmed with a quick notification.
In your opinion, is it risky to not update the TIN?
What can be the consequences if they are still registering my bank account with my old tax residency country?
I am still paying their premium feature (I try to think they will may be less bother people who pay some plan..) but I avoid to put good amount of money because I still have some fear of frozen account.
