A quick question

It seems nearly impossible to find a law firm or tax advisor who thinks or offers service outside their nation at least here in the Netherlands. I wonder why?

That's quite normal. Either speak to an international law firm that has presence in multiple jurisdictions, or seek advice from different firms in the different jurisdictions that you are interested in.

Many law firms have partnerships with foreign law firms and can refer you to someone that they trust.

This is the probably the answer to your question.

You know why? Because there is no point in giving international tax advice to small to medium business or HNWI, because every possibility of international tax planning is made impossible, even if you find a 'legal' way the Dutch tax authorities will still come after you, this is the case for almost any of the western countries.

A law firm's license and insurance only covers it for the specific country they are based in, so for example a UK qualified lawyer is not allowed to provide legal advice for another jurisdiction he is not a qualified and registered lawyer in. So you either need a law firm with presence in different countries - who will in essence add their colleagues in other jurisdiction to your conversations or you need to identify law firms in each jurisdiction your are interested in.
