Mail/parcel forwarders safe?

I've never used such a service and been wondering a few things about mail/parcel forwarders..

Do they usually use the same origin address? I mean there are probably even criminals using such services and the people from customs aren't stupid. Wouldn't receiving mail from such an address put you under suspicion?

Best is to find a abandoned house or address where you setup your own mailbox, it is more simple then you believe. Just set it up and wait for the mail to arrive, no one will ask questions.

Is shipping them to your real address so risky?
I talked to a vendor and he says his customers have never had a problem getting dark documents at home.
