After doing some research it seems like these are my two best options.

Any pro's con's for working with a nominee director for both countries?
It comes across that a nominee director in Bulgaria is more shady. Not recommended?
A nominee director in Cyprus seems more common. Safer?

Any thoughts on this?

I'm also looking for a nominee director in Bulgaria without any luck. Also I am worried about it.

Are you worried about the climate in Bulgaria around nominee directors? It all seems shady and irreliable. What will you do if you can not find one? Move on to another country?

What if I will become a resident in Bulgaria and then have an offshore company in Cyprus, that might be interesting!

yes, it seems shady and unreliable...agreed. I have not yet found a solution. But I'll move if I have to.

What exactly is your initial question, I get confused?

Do you setup a Cyprus company since you consider Cyprus at all?

If Cyprus or Bulgaria is the best choice for a company with a nominee director.
Or another country (in Europe).

The use of nominee directors in Cyprus is very common, I note however, that you should use a law firm for this, and not just a service provider that offers online assistance with very low prices, as these are usually dodgy. Use a law firm to be on the safe side.

Also dodgy, but more expensive? 🙂

Cyprus law firms are regulated by the Cyprus Bar Association, they are liable for any negligent etc action they take, so going with a law firm is much safer. Of course if you prefer to save money and use a random online provider you can do that knowing that you are undertaking the relevant risk connected to this decision.
