Hi all,

I'm a Thai citizen based in Thailand. I'm looking to invest in equities, cryptos and other things outside of Thailand. Currently, Bank of Thailand allows individuals to wire $5M USD per year to outside of Thailand for such purposes. However, I read that possible to transfer more than $5M if I am lending it to a company that I own or a shareholder of overseas. If I set up a company overseas to receive my money, then I should be able to invest freely as I want, assuming the receiving bank is able to move my funds to brokers and crypto exchanges.

This is roughly the idea I have. I'm looking to connect with someone who knows about setting up an offshore, preferably having worked with people from Thailand before. Or if anyone knows other solutions to what I want to achieve, I'd love to hear more!

(Sorry for the double post. Here's my other thread Let's talk body )

I have a good contact here, ex private banker (HSBC in Singapore) who is a Thai citizen. Can provide contact info on PM

@lazerfocused If you don't mind sharing, what path did you end up taking in terms of country of company, bank etc. I noticed you discussed this with Fred in another post around the same time so assuming you may have switched from hong kong setup to dubai?
