I faced with a case of getting EU VAT number for my non EU company.
Who knows how to get it in a legal way? In what country it is easier to get? And how it works?

from what i've read, ireland is the best place to start. because their official language is english. Most US companies i've run into have Irish VAT numbers. e.g. Gumroad.
