BANKS in Malaysia for HK Corporate. Any experience?

Hi everyone,

someone suggested me, due to the complicated relationship with banks in HK, it could be a suitable way opening a bank account in Malaysia for it. Any experience or any contact to try if it is a suitable way? (I can travel there, no need something to open online).

I've never been able to open an account there as an individual and have been told in all the banks that I have to be a resindent to be eligible, or work, be a student... I guess the same goes for biz accounts.

Malaysian banks cooperate only with locals, the same relates to legal entities - only for local companies incl. Labuan.

I know for sure about an UK corporate having bank account in Malasya but.. there can be a local behind.
