Wise launches Wise Business account in Hong Kong for local SMEs

It seems Wise is finally starting to offer accounts to HK companies:

A few days ago I received a mail notifying me my customer business agreement would be changing to Wise Payments Hong Kong Limited. And when I logged in the dashboard seemed different and is being prepared for full functionality.

Account numbers for currencies are not yet available but the message that they will be verifying documents seems to indicate things will be changing soon.

I would be cautious as an early adopter after Wise last entry and exit of‌ UAE market which did not go well at all....lol

P.S Also Wise operates in‍ US and operating in offshore China with a baboon in US office could make interesting⁠ situations when the baboon is all about decoupling from the "enemy". Not sure Wise is⁤ big enough like some banks to push back against US pressure in todays world.

I checked 2 months ago, wise only provide UK IBAN over their UK‌ entity, no Hong Kong local account.
