Which shopping Cart?

Do you know of any free basic software I can use for a shopping cart, I want to add it to a site and play about with it, a learning curve.... if you can offer advice or links then I'd be delighted

Try Oscommerce.org or cubecart or even Joomla.org

Yup OSCommerce is the right way to go, also look into Joomla which has Virtue‌ Mart as plugin all is free and great supported.

Joomla's forum sucks, you will not‍ get many replies when you post there.

WHMC or ECommerce are some good alternatives to the mentioned however, make some test installs‌ on each of them and see for yourself what you think, you need to consider‍ if it will work for you and if you can deal with the managament of⁠ the system.
