What you need to open a Cyprus Bank Account.

I just got through the entire process to open a cyprus bank account and wanted to let you know a few points you need to have in place when you apply.

1. Reference letter from your bank
   
2. Utility bill with the address of your home
   
3. Copy of your Passport
   
4. Some other ID with your signature and Picture on

Also note that the utility bill which can be an electricity bill, phone bill or similar must be no older than 3 months.


If you can comply with above it only takes a few days to get everything in place.


Just got another Cyprus Bank Account and Visa Electron card now and everything works...

You should also mention that their is some paperwork that need to be filled, to‌ be honest in some cases it is to much, but after 9/11 I guess it‍ is a Bush demand from the past

Sure all banks comply with the KYC now a days, you should not worry about that, just go and do your paperwork 😉

I just applied for my account and they requested certified documents, I'm not able to‌ do that since it costs alot of money, any suggestions on how to proceed ?‍

You should try to find another bank, maybe they'll ask for less of you. Other‌ than that, I don't know what to suggest. Good luck!
