I have just applied for a 2nd UK passport. Wasn't something I was aiming for but due to Brexit and travelling almost weekly in / out of Europe I have just about filled my current passport but cannot get a same day service new passport as I live in the Channel Islands. Talking to the passport office they suggested I should apply for a second passport....

This got me thinking! I 'bounce' between UK, Guernsey (Sark) and mainly Europe. Will a second passport which has a different passport number help me avoid the 90/180 days rule in Europe? Is there still a way the EU 'Shengan' can track two different passports?

Tracking is not based on only passport number. UK issues biometric passports, so they have‌ that data plus your name and date of birth.

If you want to avoid headaches,‍ you can get Maltese citizenship by investment.

Barney, so many British have Irish ancestors. Maybe you have any ? Problem solved.
