Hi all,

I spoke to https://connectresources.ae/ about their Employee of Record service

They don't mind using your own foreign company to fund it.

Their fees are:
- 1100 AED /m regardless of salary amount
- Emiratization (some fee bacause they hire foreigners) - 550 AED/m

One off:
- Security deposit (1 salary)
- Employment visa - 4500
- Medical insurance (I think Revolut is fine)

So I guess it's more or less like operating your own Free Zone company without all the admin, tax submissions etc.

I know there is a remote work visa too but you are not officially employed it's more of a freelance arrangement.

Pros:
- Officially employed by a 3rd party (builds credit, can get mortgage, proof of funds for banks etc)
- Easier personal banking

Cons:
- Monthly fee

Curious to hear your thoughts

P.S. Should have put it in a different board but can't find the option to switch.

Depending on your income source and how much money you make, it may be easier‌ and cheaper to just get a UAE golden visa (via property or bank deposit) and‍ use a US LLC. The 2-year golden visa (renewable) only requires ~200k USD property. Buying outside of Dubai (i.e., in Abu Dhabi or Sharjah) may be wise if you believe⁤ the Dubai market is in a bubble right now.

Golden visa is a possibility too. I wanted to get some credit score to get a⁣ mortgage first, not in a rush to buy property.

2-year 200k USD property is 30k⁢ AED ($8.3k) every 2 years to renew if I am correct. Which ends up being︀ the same as the EOR route and you have to shell out 200k + DLD︁ fees.

That actually sounds like a pretty slick setup, kind of like getting the benefits of‌ a Free Zone company without all the boring admin and tax paperwork.

Having an official‍ EOR setup is definitely a win if you just wanna live in the UAE and not deal with setting up a full company. I’ve heard from a few folks that⁤ being “formally employed” by a third party makes life way easier when it comes to⁣ opening bank accounts, building credit, and showing proof of income.

One question though, did they⁢ say for sure that Revolut’s health insurance is cool with immigration? Just curious, 'cause sometimes︀ that kind of stuff can be hit or miss with official approvals.

Would be cool︁ to hear how it works out if you go ahead with it.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, way easier KYC and legit proof of employment︀ income. They said they could nominate for GV if the salary is 30K AED +︁ after 6-8 months. I will have to check if the EE company would be able︂ to treat it as "employee salary" .

Probably yes but you can use a service provider for this too‍ to get ejari for bank opening.

Did you compare them with other device providers?
- With some yes, most international ones are more expensive like 600-1k usd

I doubt‌ that will work.
You'll need local insurance and the cheapest ones are around 1,000 AED/year.‍
