In Asia - TikTok fast became the equivalent of Amazon.com for cross border purchases.

At this stage I suspect it will eat into Ali-express and domestic/regional players such as Lazada‌ etc

And like most things the US will push its activities offshore and Americans will‍ use a offshore version just most likely not app based - US corporations will want⁠ access to Asian/African markets so will figure away to incorporate the new normal into their⁤ business structure.

So basically cut their nose of to spite their face - at least⁣ they can control the critical thinking narratives at bay though…
