Thailand LTR exempt from not just income tax but capital gains/crypto?

I believe yes regarding capital gains (like stocks/real estate abroad sold with profit).
The source‌ of income from crypto is supposed to be the place where the crypto wallet related‍ is located. Yep, whatever it means.

As far as I understand in practice only obviously Thai-sourced income is not exempt, if some money come to your Thai bank account from⁤ abroad, you are fine.

Does it specifically say this in the law?

If someone sells a significant amount I‌ wonder if they even have to declare in Thailand if it’s exempt anyway

This is the Royal Decree wording (translated to English).
https://ltr.boi.go.th/documents/Royal Decree issued under the Revenue‌ Code No.743 (EN).pdf
Income tax under Part 2 of Chapter 3 in Title 2 of‍ the Revenue Code shall be
exempted for a foreigner categorised as Wealthy Global Citizen, Wealthy Pensioner, or Work-
from-Thailand Professional who is granted a Long-Term Resident Visa under immigration law⁤ for
assessable income under section 40 of the Revenue Code derived in the previous tax⁣ year from
an employment, or from business carried on abroad, or from a property situated⁢ abroad
, and
brought into Thailand.

Here is the relevant part of the tax code:︀

Thailand doesn't differentiate capital gains from any other income type.

There is some space︁ in the declaration form as far as I remember, but local revenue office will likely︂ tell you to not bother if there is nothing to pay.

Yes, capital gains from stocks/etfs/crypto is tax free. They don't really differentiate between salary/dividend/capital gains‌ when it comes to tax.
