Philippine retirement visa and US stocks

It is easy to open an investment account in the Philippines. However one is limited to Philippine stocks. If one has a retirement visa and lives there is one able to buy US stocks though a Philippine brokerage? Yes I know one can easily open a US brokerage account. My question is only about using a Philippine company to buy US stocks. Philippines is not part of CRS.

most prob the withholding tax will be a killer limiting you to non-div paying US stocks (because of DTA usa, phils making you pay full 30% on Usa listed stocks).

The withholding tax should be the same if you use a PH broker or a US broker.

Maybe try to speak to a brokerage firm based in Manila?
