Personal or Corporate offshore bank account what is best?

I need to know if it is better to open a Personal offshore bank account or better a corporate account?


I read it would be best to register a offshore company that opens the offshore bank account, but why is that so and is it true?

For privacy and anonymity it is always‍ better to open a corporate bank account, this means, you will want to incorporate a⁠ offshore company which opens the bank account, make sure the company and bank account are⁤ in different countries.

I mean that if you don't want to have you name listed anywhere then it‌ would be best to open a corporate bank account and not a personal account.

But hte bank always ask the economic beneficiary of the company, so your name will‌ always be written somewhere, right ?

Yes that's true, the bank will always know who the beneficial owner is, that is‌ part of the Due Diligence and several International regulations. However, that don't mean that they‍ will just release your name or information to sudden requests, at least not in Cyprus!⁠

There is no such thing like anonymous banking any more, the time where one just‌ could use a nominee director to sign the bank application and where the bank didn't‍ ask any question has long time gone.

You may read between the line submit a ticket to them or approach some other‌ agency service, there are still a few good solutions available for anonymous debit cards with‍ stable banks.
