I've met Andrew in person and know where he lives and some of the places‌ he owns properties. He does follow his own advice -- the way he lives is‍ basically the same as how he tells other people to live -- and he is successful in business.

This does not mean hiring him means getting a good value for⁤ money. He has a large team of people who handle "customer relations" which means it's⁣ very unlikely you would deal with him directly unless you pay a crazy-high price. Unfortunately,⁢ his team are not the best-trained either.

Hard to blame him though. He has a︀ huge following on social media and more deal flow than he knows what to do︁ with. He is simply trying to make the most money possible, like everyone else here.︂

Fair enough. I remember seeing him out in KL prior︃ to Covid.

He's obviously a successful marketer, I'll give him that....but he's always come across︄ as a Sovereign Man wannabe. Even his early site (check out the Way Back Machine︅ if you're interested) was clearly a rip-off of SM.

Anyway, to each their own. I︆ would never hire him.

I watch his videos (and those of some others in the same line of work).‌ They are useful in generating leads that I can follow up with my own research‍ to get the facts. I don’t trust the information in them for two reasons.

1) For those things with which I have knowledge because I am currently or were involved in them (e.g., Italian citizenship by descent, Canadian and UK citizenship processes, the Serbian business⁤ environment, US immigration, the US business environment, some investing topics), the information presented is laughably⁣ incorrect and demonstrates, at best, a surface level understanding of the subject matter. That calls⁢ into question things he talks about that I don’t know about.

2) He holds obvious︀ bias against the United States and that hatred seems to spill over to any passport︁ that has access to the US. It makes me question the objectivity of any recommendation︂ he’d make. The poorly concealed anger in his video on being denied for a visa︃ and unable to come home, every other video being about the transgressions or demise of︄ the US while excusing Erdogan and Turkey, and his advocation for decoupling from the west︅ which appears to be just a way to talk people out of getting passports with︆ access to the US, borders on obsessive. He also seems like a self-loathing guy running︇ from himself. You notice a pattern where he ends up not liking every place he︈ settles and moves on, and his reasons for that and his claims to not want︉ to return to the US ring hollow. It makes you question the rationality of his︊ judgement and recommendations.

I don’t hold anything against the man for being a businessman and︋ selling a service. He is obviously selling. Istanbul is nothing like he claims it is,︌ for example. And, his videos provide entertainment. It’s not something I’d buy, though.

There's this weird meme-trend all over the alternative news space to be️ anti-West and pro-BRICS -- to imply that the West is trying to take away your‌ freedom and that you have more freedom in totalitarian countries (which are very open about‍ working hard to take away all your freedom).

Of course, the reality is probably that all countries and everyone wants to take away your freedom, it's just a question of⁤ how competent they are.

The US indeed been leading the charge since the 1970s to⁣ eliminate financial freedom and anonymity. The FATF and the "Travel Rule" (that information about the⁢ account holder has to travel with every transaction) started as a US intelligence agency proposal︀ to break European banking secrecy. The idea was the US would learn the name of︁ every European account holder if they did business with the US.

Unfortunately, while the US︂ may still be #1 in this direction, everyone else is working hard to catch up.︃ The state-sponsored "Panama Papers" type leaks, which were intended to get countries everywhere closing all︄ possible financial privacy loopholes, did exactly what they were intended to do.

But wasn’t it the US that reintroduced anonymity for‍ companies in places like Wyoming and Delaware, with Trump leading the way?
