The dude dropped a big sum into a what I assume was a dormant or near dormant account and expected no questions. I had my accounts frozen for getting paid a few grand, it's annoying, but it's "part and parcel" of dealing with retail banks. Even private banks ask for SoF, but they are at least listening unlike retail banks where anything but salary income is a red flag.
