I'm trying to figure what implications the Malta TRP and Cyprus 60-days options have with‌ regards to mandatory schooling. These programs would normally allow for long term travel/absence, but I‍ can't find any information what happens when you have school-aged kids. If they would be required to attend school locally, that kind of defeats the point, at least for our⁤ purposes. Neither island allows regular homeschooling.

If anyone here can speak from experience on this?⁣

From what I’ve seen, both Malta TRP and the Cyprus 60-day rule do expect local‌ schooling if you bring school aged kids.

Homeschooling is basically off the table. That said,‍ enforcement seems pretty light unless you’re applying for something that triggers checks.

Have you considered whether private or international schools might cover the gap?
And what would be the deal⁤ if you simply kept the kids enrolled back home but traveled?
