EU resident. Is there a way to know whether someone has properties outside the EU (specifically Georgia) in her own name? (Probably a wife is hiding the fact she has properties there and claim stupid money to her husband)

Some countries have public ownership registries. Some only allow checking the owner of a specific real estate. In many cases it will be difficult as the owner could be hidden behind a company.

I would say that it completely depends on the country where you buy property, how it is purchased -for example, personally or through a company - and whether other measures have been taken to conceal the purchase of the property. The Russians and the Chinese are masters of this kind of cover-up.
Thanks for the link. The owner of those properties is either the woman or her mother, definitely not a company; since her mother is claiming a pension maybe they decided to register the properties to the daughter God knows.

Is there a type of administrative partnership/marriage that allows a couple to reduce taxes without the hassle of going through a normal divorce procedure, and losing half of your assets? I'd assume that if you have kids, with or without a marriage you are screwed either way.

I agree. Unless you live in a third world Patriarchal society there is simply no need for the article of marriage at all. I made my defense of a having a whore over marriage below back in 2020 and I stand by it in 2024. I am a brutal realist at heart sadly.
Depends on where you live. But without kids, a notarised agreement mar be sufficient to eliminate the wealth sharing. And in most countries you do not share wealth but only gains during marriage. Which country do you live?
