Hi All,
we are evaluating an import business (food or luxury) from EU (or CH)‌ to India, where is a good source of info regarding the custom rules and other‍ legal requirements?

Thanks all
Mike

Sorry are you looking for the import rules and requirements for India? Or are you‌ interested in the export rules and requirements of EU and CH?

Hi, bit of both, but I assume the import rules into India are the most‌ complicated, so I was looking for good source of info to study on. But if‍ I'm incorrect and also export rules are to be studied carefully, then yes please, export as well.
Thanks a lot

Sadly, my associate‌ who handled that passed away in 2011, so I don't know precisely what transpired. I‍ do know we exported seven (7) digits monthly to India until his passing. cry&¤

The business lasted from 2002 until 2011. It was a great business.

Thanks. I think this is done. it was celebrated by the news few weeks ago. not‌ sure about details though. thanks.

Yes, it seems there will be a voting. Anyway the treaty needs still to‍ be ratified by the EFTA countries and by India, looks a long process.

Thanks @wellington , on what side is your expertise? Indian side I think‍ we ere covered, but we are exploring for now, so yes I'd be happy to discuss with you, please let me know, here or private message if you prefer.
One point I'm still struggling is how to approach suppliers here in Switzerland
Thanks again
Mike

Hi All,
How to approach B2B suppliers in Switzerland? currently I'm doing internet research, but‌ is there a better way? should I start playing golf maybe ;-)
Advices?

Mike

Hi @daniels27 , yes I am Swiss. At the moment exploring different sectors for a new‌ start up, open for suggestions. What sector are you in?
