How to mask bitcoins transactions?

Does anyone has a guide or a explanation on what it means to MASK a bitcoin transaction?

A how to guide would be great as well as information about if it really can make a bitcoin transaction anonymous or if it is just hot air spread around.

Why is it important to "mask" a btc transaction? just wondering?

because it's the only way to stay anonymous if you pay someone with BTC‍ for services or products not legal 😀
