Hey everyone,
I would like to open a discussion by asking: what's one way to‌ find a business partner for an online business in your opinion?

See, I have an‍ online business, and I would like to start a new one in addition. I have plenty of free time for a new venture. But the thing is that I prefer⁤ to partner with someone who has a similar mindset and goals, and I just don't⁣ know how to start searching.

What do you think?

I’d look on LinkedIn, in niche online communities, or at industry events to meet potential‌ partners. From there, it’s all about talking through values and goals to see if the‍ mindset aligns.

Maybe an alternative would be to figure our the mindset and goals and then look‌ for people in industries / events where such qualities can be found. You may very‍ well find somebody in a completely different industry who shares your mindset and has the necessary qualifications.

Or you ask around in your own network. Chances are quite big that⁤ there is somebody who fits the bill.

Even a thread in Mentor Group may bring⁣ you some contacts.

very hard question. easier to say how to "not choose" a partner: if he/she already‌ f**k**d up previous partners or is super-secretive about things or is envious or is not‍ intellectually honest --> better to travel alone than in bad company.

Thank you for the input - to be honest I have few different ideas, I don't know which one to concentrate on, I⁤ want to focus only on one and specialize. It can be igaming or just products⁣ these with quiz->trial->monthly subscription, for example "noom".

I saw one of your replies where someone mentioned wanting to start a new venture,︅ and you gave them advice. Would it be possible to talk with you? Thank you︆ for your input.

Totally agree with that. Thanks.

Networking events, Linkedin, the workplace, my own network consists of people I worked with or that⁢ did a good job for me. Other than that they can be found sometimes in︀ the unlikeliest of places.

Whilst I understand that everyone's situation is unique and that as︁ partnership can in many instances be the best thing for a business. I would recommend︂ erring on the side of caution. Trust but verify, and don't rush into things immediately︃ until you're absolutely certain that not only your values align, but your morals and ethics︄ do as well - these can only be revealed over time. As I said, I︅ don't mean to discourage you, I wish you all the best with your endeavour.

OP, you’ll need to be a bit more proactive and persistent if you want to‌ find someone.

There are thousands of people who see posts like yours every day, and‍ you can also make an effort by following threads from other users and perhaps reaching out to them.

That’s how you can gradually build a network. Above all, you should⁤ go into more detail if you want to spark curiosity and get others genuinely interested⁣ in what you’re looking for.
