This is one of the most annoying parts of‌ the setup even though I am frequently in Dxb or nearby.
I had to originally‍ go and pickup the ID from an office the first time... I didn't realise they⁠ send it...

Aren’t there any agents offering company setup and Emirates ID services who can also receive‌ the ID on your behalf and forward it to an address of your choice? It’s‍ hard to believe a service like that doesn’t exist.

How was the mail forwarding? They sent on Emirates id and stuff with finger prints?‌

Hi. No it doesn’t work. To receive the id you need to show that confirmation‌ you got from the typing center. I managed to find someone and changed delivery address.‍

Just to summarize. Started on Monday as described above, the first delivery attempt was on‌ Saturday. Hope this helps planning the trip.

Good information, thanks. I registered a company in IFZA and was there last February 2025‌ for the entire setup. Coming from UK, there was some amount of homework I had‍ to do - as the process can be not super obvious (typing the form, taking⁠ the form to another center etc) at first. I spend around 20-25 hours doing research,⁤ homework, calling up various centers prior to going to Dubai and everything was done and⁣ I got the emirates ID done within 4 working days

This info in the thread⁢ is useful from renewal which I need to do soon. I didnt know it will︀ take a lot of time then as well
