Form 5472 - How early?

I l'm filing forms 5472 and 1120 for the first time.

I think I've got them perfect. I'm ready to file them.

But should I? How early can Infile them?

"Foreign-owned U.S. DE" should be written across the‌ top of the Form 1120.

File these forms by:
Fax (300 DPI or higher) to‍ 855-887-7737, or
Mail to:
Internal Revenue Service
1973 Rulon White Blvd
M/S 6112 Attn: PIN⁠ Unit
Ogden, UT 84201

You can file them any time before the deadline.

I don't understand.

I have the forms ready. I know that I have to fax or︅ mail them.

I know that the deadline is April 15.

But can I already file︆ them today? Or do I need to wait until April?

You can file them today. You need to file before the deadline and can file‌ as early as the forms are out. 1120 is updated yearly, make sure to use‍ the proper year.

It has 2024 written on the‌ top right side.
I assume itnis the correct one, because the filing is for the‍ 2024 tax year, right?

Yes. That's the one you need. Fax it and save the submission transcript just in‌ case. If there is any question from them, that transcript will save you.

It is for Direct File. If you print or fax, you‍ can do it earlier. I don't think they will discard it. Free file is available⁠ as of the publication (Jan. 10, 2025):
