I have a doubt, Ukraina dont enter in Europe and expecially in NATO without the Russian aggression, but I can make a mistake. Sorry but I'm not so positive to my country.. Italy is a country too big to fail and all over the world know the Italian situation. cheers!
The elections for European parliament are in June 2024; we should wait and see who will be majority and who'll be member of EC. The people are not without power. It's a perception of powerlessness.
With a proper campaign, public opinion towards privacy, wealth, crypto assets and cach payments, deregulation etc. can be formed and political echelon influenced.
We can comment and be defensive - adapting to hyper-regulation until the system breaks, but︀ I don't prefer to give my position.

Unfortunately, I think it won't be so easy to dissuade the EU from this course; the few people who move the pieces behind the scenes for Europe, the EU, the OECD, and the rest of the world hold enormous power.
The banks check every transaction, and send the abnormal transaction to the GdF and Tax Agency.......IF I go to the bank for a bank transfer for cash if is more of 1000 eur the bank dont accept. If the transaction pass across my account no problem, WE ARE IN A JAIL WITHOUT WALL.

If our ideas aren't politicaly channeled and articulated, then we depend on chance.

I very much believe that it is possible for tax authorities to confiscate one's property and chattels, but I don't believe they can do it without a court order or a decision!

Look at︀ the other countries that had communism, it depresses median wealth dramatically and the effects are︁ long lasting. If you just take West Germany, I wouldnt be surprised if West German︂ median net worth figures are higher than Italian.
Then median net worth figures are very︃ sensitive to if people tend to own or rent their residencies. Basically owning a house︄ with a mortgage is like forced savings increasing net worth, whereas renters usually dont build︅ large savings.
And the Italian government has large debts, that's not in contradiction with the︆ average (or median) Italian having reasonable savings.
