Recently I tried to make SEPA transfer from Blackcatcard (Matlese IBAN) to Kraken(crypto exchange) and got rejected by their recipient bank due to my country is not eligible for depositing. Kraken's support told me that their bank somehow knows about the country I used to register my Blackcatcard account with.
For me it looks like privacy violation to disclose personal information. Is this really true that Sender bank disclose Country of its client during transaction to Recipient bank?

Yes, the sender's full name and address is included in SEPA (and SWIFT) transactions.

This is ONLY to‌ protect the "legislators" in case someone does it to them or their "assigns". Nobody else‍ cares about our privacy.

There is no privacy when it comes to banking with normal high street banks nor‌ with EMI's.
