I'm not sure about all banks - I would imagine they do - but I‌ know not all accounts have it. I have a very basic current account with a‍ bank in the UK, with no overdraft facility or anything, and I don't have access to the bank's IBAN and SWIFT facilities with that account.

Maybe you should speak to⁤ your bank and find out if you could upgrade to an account that can use⁣ IBAN and SWIFT.

IBAN account number is only possible in Europe - SWIFT most banks have it but‌ the small banks or financial institutions which are not recognized by the larger banks don't‍ have it.

Please check the two links they go into details about what both terms mean.

Thank you Admin I figured out how all this works with offshore banks and onshore‌ banks you have all been a great help.

What banks are doing if they don't have a SWIFT code? How does someone transfer‌ money into the banks account?

I agree, had the expirience with such one. It's very expensive and very difficult to‍ transfer money to and from the bank account!

Also a bank without a SWIFT code takes ages to received money from other International‌ banks.
