Detroit Public Schools Not Considering Chapter 9 Bankruptcy

Detroit Public Schools, which considered seeking Chapter 9 bankruptcy protection last year, may use a General Motors-style restructuring to split the district into two to help deal with a deficit of $327 million, said Robert Bobb, the district's emergency financial manager.
