Cowen Resigns as Party Leader, to Remain Irish Prime Minister

Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen resigned as leader of the Fianna Fail party after a failed attempt to reshuffle his cabinet. He said he will remain as the head of government until parliamentary elections March 11.
