CDP account opening

Hi,

does anyone here have first-hand experience with opening a CDP account, e.g. in the UK, Germany, Switzerland or with some of the international ones (Euroclear) -- as a retail investor?

You basically need sponsor to get access to Euroclear as a private client. The sponsor will handle everything. I guess you want to hold certain assets directly? It does come with a work load that a broker usually handles.
