Have any of you already perhaps started thinking about an 'exit strategy'? It might be smart to sketch a plan now already. You can't predict the top, but you can be quite wrong and still make a lot by buying more at lower levels during the next bear market. I imagine it could be interesting to evaluate how unstable the price increase is and sell off in parts. I don't think either fundamental or technical analysis will be helpful here. Rather, something that checks how fast we are approaching gold's market cap(?)

If you had 1,280 BTC there, thats over 60m USD (now even higher).

My old email address got compromised following 2016, and I have been using a different email address for many years at this point. So yeah, I didn't get any message from the liquidator, and missed out unfortunately. I learned about the deadline a week or two too late on the net.

On the other side as the payout is so huge, you didnt want to use lawyers to prove your case?
Even if the odds are low, payout is generational wealth.
Get a law firm who works against a percentage of the payout -- so you wouldnt have to pay them upfront and incentivize them too to get your claim settled properly.
But yeah I also would understand if you think it'd affect your health trying to go the legal route, you wanting to leave it behind as a bad beat, move on and enjoy life as you still got enough powder to play.

I actually thought about doing it. But I know the Japanese legal system too well, and I know how long court proceedings take. It took 10 years for the system to transfer SOME of the MTGox holdings to the owners (there is still lot to go), and this was a prominent case of international scale and interest, which would make them lose face if it was delayed for longer (10 years is already crazy in my opinion).
I have no desire to wait and fight for 40 years to maybe receive something, it's better to let it go and forget about it.
