Bulgaria - Tax Residency Certificate: bad expriences?

Hello,

Was trying to understand - how difficult is to issue Tax Residency Certificate in‌ Bulgaria.

Do I really have to stay 186 days? or can I move inside Schengen?‍
Do they actually refuse some requests?
Any experiences?

But an accountant I consulted with said I need to proof that‌ I stayed 186 straight.. showing my credit card usages etc..

I have just registered my residence in Bulgaria and my accountant said that an employment‌ contract + a rental agreement (the cheapest) would create the legal premises that you live‍ and work in Bulgaria. Ofcourse, from time to time you have to be there, smend⁠ some money, pay the bills for electricity and water, etc.

Is you accountant said if they check 6‌ months just before the request, or 6 months within a year?
How do you plan‍ on finding a rental? (and does it have to be for 12 months?)

Depends on whether you have your centre of vital interest there or not. If you⁠ don't have property, business or company registered there you need to prove that you stayed⁤ >183 days there.

Myself not but I know a digital nomad with EOOD in Bulgaria who spends‍ most of the time travelling abroad and got a tax residence certificate issued.

that works in most countries inside Europe, didn't faced any troubles doing so.
