Let's say you are a EU citizen who never lived in Spain before and runs an online business remotely from home.
Does the Beckham law apply in such scenario to minimise your personal income tax to zero percent, or is it only valid for people who move to Spain who are actually hired/working for a company that is not theirs?

e.g: online business registered in the UAE or Puertorico --> Getting paid a Salary and Dividends while living full time in Spain and operating the company from there

I can't find any specific information on this on any forum or any sources online.

Alright, thanks for the info, I guess I'll pass.

Damn, there is nothing left in Europe, tax benefits related for small and medium entrepreneurs.

Depending on your setup maybe look into Malta as dividends if not remitted to Malta are‍ tax free

Also CFC rules are bit more relaxed (for the moment?)

exactly what one would expect from communistic govs.

One can only have a small condo or house and live like a retiree, really its like⁤ that.

There is, you just need to look at the right places and not listen too much‍ to what every one and joe is posting.

Switzerland, Luxembourg, Monaco, Montenegro and at some extend BVI (not Europe) are still good places .

Hahahahahahaha!
Hahaha!
Of course! Spain! One of the most tax-agressive socialist countries in Europe will let you move there and run your business from Spain at 0% tax! Hahahahaha!
Thanks for the⁤ laugh.

The Beckham Law means you don't pay tax on FOREIGN income. Income that you⁣ earn FROM SPAIN is not FOREIGN income.
What this means is if you can get⁢ a job in Spain, then you don't pay tax if you for example get some︀ dividends from your stock-market investments.
Everything you do in Spain ABSOLUTELY will be taxed.

Nah, I guess it depends. Cyprus and Malta might work. Portugal as well. Not on‌ paper of course, but it seems like enforcement is weak.

Set your business elsewhere and also your residency... and "travel" when you want.
It's really‌ the only way to stay free.
I ran the numbers a while ago on the‍ beckham regime.
IIRC tax ended up at something like 35% when playing with the salary. It wasn't that bad.
Then you find out that you must add wealth tax and⁤ other stupid small taxes here and there.
Then you hear about the spanish tax agency:⁣ their employee get bonuses based on how much money they grab from you...
Then you⁢ think... it's ok, if I get back something as services?
Then you see that "interesting︀ areas" are run by commies... and it's enough for you to hear them talk a︁ few minutes to change your mind...

Don't give those commies a single cent or you'll︂ end up trapped.

As I mentioned in a few other posts already, you need to learn to know what‌ it is exactly fits to your personal situation, what is posted in threads are opinions‍ of others which you can compare with a brick in a puzzle.

It's always advisable to have your company in a different country where you live and don't just read⁤ without doing proper research please.

You can find an wealth of information on OCT which⁣ can help anyone in this world to achieve total freedom if what is read is⁢ put into action, supply with a mentor group gold membership and you can get something︀ that fits the bill for your personal needs.

It is one of many setups, don't think I relay on a single‌ company structure... I planned it all carefully throughout the years and long before I set‍ this all up.

Copied from a Subreddit but it is insanely relevant:

"Don't, seriously don't. Don't think about‌ don't even look at it.

the wealth tax will decimate your savings. At 3.5% per‍ year they will take 70% of you capital in 20 years plus all the other regular taxes like capital gains on top of this. So completely untenable.

The second problem⁤ is that the tax authority is very abusive. Most recently they started auditing beckham laws⁣ and trying to find any tiny discrepancy so as to remove the benefits and trust⁢ me, there are a lot. From did you move here to with the intent of︀ a job or intent to save taxes. Ahh taxes, invalidated and owe back taxes. They︁ also know they are juicy target and inspector have €€€ to meet.

On top of︂ this if the amount is over 250K it's a there is jail time for tax.︃ Wanna take it to court and possibly go to jail?

They also no longer offer︄ it.

For the 5 months a year plan they created a thing called sporadic absences.︅ You go for a month to Miami and fly back to Spain. Yeah that month︆ doesn't count as outside of Spain, it was a sporadic absence. You are now 6︇ months in Spain. Many famous cases can be found online about this.

Then when you︈ want to leave it's super hard. Not only the exit tax, there are certain counties︉ where even if you move there stay 6 months a year still have to pay︊ taxes in Spain for 5 years.

At it's core the Spanish society is deeply socialist,︋ they really belive rich people are bad for society. They specifically say this on the︌ wealth tax law prologue.

Don't. Move. To. Spain"

Guys, listen to Frankie and do‌ what he did: go to Hollywood!
