A recent blog post claims Australia and Iceland are quickly coming under control of Chinese‌ Social Credit tyranny. Canada, too. Is it true? Or is the post just more “fear‍ P**N”?

If true, then a lot of readers here on OCT will be doing a major re-modelling their offshore arrangements.

(I have abbreviated the article. Link to original at the⁤ bottom.)

Link: Leon Hill - Digital ID = Gateway to Chinese Social Credit

Just move elsewhere and opt out of all of this. For sure whatever the west‌ criticizes China for they will copy themselves eventually.

P.S You wanna know something funny? Voting‍ and democracy wont make a blind bit of difference to changing the current direction of countries becoming surveillance states 😕. There will be no wiggle room for changing or fighting⁤ back against the system and rules in place on a country level especially in EU.⁣

Agree 100%.

But this question: What happens when your passport is about to expire?‍ You walk into your nearby consulate/embassy citizen services, and they ask for your digital ID number? What to do then?

Exactly. But this question: You know that. And likely everyone who⁢ follows this forum knows that. But why so many, many human life forms don't have︀ any clue about it? [Don't answer that question! Would be off topic for this thread.︁ But might make an interesting topic elsewhere in "Talk Body".]

Your screwed like those Ukrainian males living abroad whose passports have expired. They face going to Ukraine to get it renewed⁤ in which case they will be grabbed sent to front lines and destroyed by a⁣ glide bomb in minutes quicker than Zelensky can have a freshly pressed green t-shirt handed⁢ to him before a press conference.

Best to obtain a second passport asap if one︀ has the means. You can't really escape if your life is tied to the passport︁ of a surveillance state and it expires unless you don't want to travel and plan︂ to live off grid.

Evil Iiiviil CCP. In the mean time... Make sure to keep your LinkedIn account in‌ impeccable state.

Social credit score in China is wide spread fake news. No such thing exists.

Thanks for posting, but without evidence, that is just a bald‍ assertion. You may be correct. I'm hoping you will provide some evidence to backup to your assertion.

According to the post (referred to at the top of this thread), social⁤ surveillance DOES exist in Iceland now. Are you suggesting that is also "wide spread fake⁣ news"?? If it is, in fact, fake news, I will sleep better tonight.

Iceland's population is small and country is an island (isolated) so implementing⁤ surveillance is easier than in other parts of the world. JMO

Well, it exist, but not in a manner and for purposes‍ that are discussed outside PRC.

Every organized society requires a means to register and identify its citizens - where that registration is a usually a primary key for other purposes.⁤

Contemporary societies are dictated by technology and automation. Historical ones︃ with paper, papirus and stone among other recording means.

Before nation states, births, partnerships and︄ deaths were registered by religious organizations where primary keys were DOB, name and surname. It︅ was a period with far lesser inhabitants.

Nowadays, automatic registration is needed where primary key︆ is unique.

Such primary identification value exist in almost every country, whether it's a random︇ string, DOB plus certain specifics w/ or w/o control sum or any other form.

We may be/are all identified by unique passport numbers at least and then by national identification,︈ beside name/surname and dob. Further on, during KYC for accessing financial services, we get secondary︉ key - account number. Analogy for any other service, even communal one.

I've read from︊ OP's link something about Satan's conspiracy 🙄

Even Palau and Estonia has the same registration process︋ - like the ones in Australia and Iceland author in that link proposes to run︌ from. Also, by obtaining second citizenship, another citizen's registration is performed.

What is not ethical︍ is that everybody can see citizen's unique registration value and draw informative conclusions that offer︎ further investigation. Those registration systems aren't wile inherently, but government's inability or unwillingness to protect️ those as private.

Opposite to this would be an anarchy which would bring the economy‌ to collapse. Cryptocurrencies are not intrisically anarchistic - social and economical order is needed to‍ have a stable market.

Social surveilance - it exist. When means of⁢ automatic citizens' identification and comparison of different data sets are performed without citizens' consent. Extreme︀ Western example is London.

But presuming that every citizens' registration and identification is wile per︁ se is not socially acceptable nor rational.

Is it easy to get a Chinese passport? asking for a friend..
Given that China‌ has it all up and running, and apparently it isn't too bad, best to move‍ to somewhere where this got as bad as it can get, and it's not so bad. I can foresee this to become way worse, in EUSA.

what i meant is‍ that this is already implemented in china, and the way it works over there is not so bad. So it's unlikely that, over there, it gets worse than it is⁤ now.
In EUSA, on the other hand..

what are some good sources to read about how it works and that it⁤ is not that bad? (to read about the benefits it brought to the Chinese society⁣ and country overall vs the legacy system of more freedom and less surveillance [if there⁢ was freedom?] )

Move to the global south - become self sufficient - and make sure it’s a‌ place you can blend in (with the natives - not tourism related) - observe from‍ afar as the west eats itself and collapses - then move back and rebuild from the ashes.

Happens often in cycles and we’ve transitioned from peak prosperity to the collapse⁤ stage.

1980/90 -> pushed onto 9/11 / 2000 -> pushed on to 2008 -> 2016⁣ - 2019 collapse stage.

Oh and short the Goverment stupidity and greed all the way down - you’ll need‌ that to return and invest (or rather your dependents will)

I
I’ve outlined mine on here a few times.

1) with Nuclear bunker
1) with green energy power to commute across large span⁤ blue water.
1) Asia-Pacific
1) Africa (Eastern seaboard) - more stable
1) South America-Caribbean lower⁣ region

You are︁ not just “escaping surveillance and CBDC” but the forceful violent end of the system that︂ enforced that - hence Australia /NZ isn’t where you want to be as they are︃ some of the most pro supporters of the controlled demolition system.

They already were - whilst the West and namely Australia was talking︅ about social scoring and mass ai surveillance in China in 2018 - WA was investing︆ 50m$ into a data Centre and looking (was approached by a third party associated) for︇ a similar service provisioned for processing the data via AI track and trace and identify.︈

The UK has long had it but increasingly pushes for more under the guise the︉ most surveilled country and capital city in the world isn’t able to handle 30,000 terror︊ suspects without more surveillance.

It’s not the terrorists - it’s the plebs they are worried︋ about.

TBH pretty much everyone I speak to from the UK from all walks of︌ life is supportive of the idea of the idea for a revolution - it’s been︍ brewing my concern it will be a violent revolution.

Yes its true. The process is at the very beginning.⁢
Government recently introduced Digital ID Bill ( https://www.digitalidentity.gov.au/digital-id-bill )
Unlike the Chinese, the AU Govt︀ cannot just mandate it as there will be a backlash, so they are pursuing the︁ "It is voluntary" strategy.
Slowly slowly voluntary become mandatory and then the population in ensnared.︂
As I have said in past post, consider anything to do with Australia very very︃ very carefully.

Have a great day everyone.

Iceland somehow gained this positive reputation, but it's far from that. They have everything completely‌ digitalized and centralized, and doesn't help it's basically a village. It's nice a country to‍ visit though.
