Alice Weidel, Elon Musk and Donald Trump - The Three Musketeers – Are we closer to the Third Reich?

Over the past 24 hours, I’ve watched countless interviews with Alice Weidel and, of course,‌ listened to her one-hour conversation with Elon Musk, who is openly supporting the AfD party‍ with millions of euros and invaluable PR. Trump and Weidel are practically pursuing the same⁠ political agenda one representing a superpower (the USA) and the other a major power in⁤ Europe (Germany).

And in the middle stands the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, all three⁣ of them leaning towards right-wing ideologies.

It sends chills down my spine. A picture is⁢ forming of three powerful individuals shaping global dominance, and it feels like we’re inching closer︀ to something resembling the Third Reich, not in the way Adolf Hitler may have envisioned︁ it, but something eerily close.

Trump and Elon are both left wing liberals actually. It's just their‌ political opponents who call them far right to undermine them. I don't know much about‍ the AFD. The Nazis were extreme socialists, with their nation as the benefactor of their⁠ socialism. Even the USA was to the right of the Nazis.

A re-animated global 3rd⁤ Reich would mean socialist authoritarianism around the world (which is what we've had for the⁣ past 10 years), plus the Jews and Slavs in the crosshairs again.

Trump and Elon⁢ are nowhere near this. Trump quite likes Russia actually, Slavs and all. Elon wants Indians︀ to work for him, brain-draining India in the process.

If anything, I wish Trump and︁ Elon were more to the centre. Trump is a sexual degenerate who likes prostitutes, and︂ Elon thinks putting chips in your brain is progressive. Where is the right-wing conservativeness in︃ all this? There is none.

The classic argument that n**i’s weren’t extreme nationalists but socialists is very︀ misleading - Yes, the name n**i comes from "Nationalsozialistische", and yes Mussolini and Hitler were︁ Socialists at their beginnings in politics, but their policies and ideologies were almost if not︂ all considered far right ideologies. Do not act stupid on this. Ultranationalist and White Supremacy︃ are core elements to Nazism and Fascism. If you ask to an educated person right︄ now if Nazism is a left wing ideology he would laugh at your face and︅ not take u seriously.

Fair point. But that was in‍ a past when pretty much all leaders in Europe were kind of racist at some⁠ degree. If you were a POC at that time you would have a very tough⁤ time everywhere in (Western) Europe. Churchill was a known racist.

I don’t think things will turn out as bad as the picture you’re trying to‌ paint, OP. Sure, all three of them are very different from what we’ve been used‍ to in decades of politics, but that doesn’t mean it has to be dramatically different⁠ in a bad way.
