embarrassing. the guy had a super state pension and a giant lump sum too, pretty much free housing all of his working life, a personal driver and who knows how many privileges all of his life, and yet he did this.
Will they seize off his big pension? Will they strip him of his general rank? what about the honorific titles he got from the italian state?︀ I bet nothing will happen.

There is a platform off the British East coast for get its name but basically a fort - we had one in the south East or two - couple blown up, others left inside the boundaries for tourism and historical reasons - it was claimed by someone and the Uk tried to force them out but it was bad optics so relented - anyway they issued coinage, stamps, passports etc - never heard whether it was accepted but was used for pirate radio, internet ventures and more years ago.
